Echocardiography

Echocardiography

Echocardiography is a non-invasive ultrasound examination of the heart. It provides extensive information about the shape of the heart, its dimensions, pumping function, relaxation, the state of the valves, the presence of congenital or acquired defects, tumours, inflammatory processes, etc. At the same time, the segments of the aorta and pulmonary artery accessible to view are assessed. The office has a latest generation echocardiograph with AFI capability - myocardial deformation study using speckle tracking technology. This method is more sensitive than standard echo parameters for assessing left ventricular function and allows early detection of changes in contractility.
